Yes the keys are chipped. You need a PK3 key and to do a key learn which is simple and takes 5 seconds.
I did that response on my phone so I didn't want to take the time to type out the steps, but I am on my computer now.
Using a previously learned "master" key turn the ignition switch to the on position. Not accessory and not start, just on.
Turn the key off and remove the master and within 10 seconds place the new key into the ignition, turn it to on, then start.
BAM! Done.
Great, thanks. I've only done that once, more than 10 yrs. ago. Couldn't remember. Is there a minimum time master key has to be "on", or the new key "on" before starting?
Sounds right, last one I did was a 2000 GP, so previous generation than Gabe311. I'm watching cuz I have an 05 &06 also PK3....Let us know what works, please, Gabe ??
