I know this may be a dumb question and I've searched online but where does the top hose on the tank run to? I know the bottom one runs into right below coolant cap. Thanks in advance

Don't think mine has a top hose just down the side of the tank usually. It's the overflow

I only have one hose on my overflow tank n that runs to the radiator cap. Unless yours is retrofitted for an intercooler it should be the same one hose from the overflow I believe is 1/4 in. Upper rad hose runs to the t stat housing and the lower rad hose runs to the water pump... What kinda car?

If there is a hose on the top of the coolant recovery jug/cap, I would suspect it to be used for venting, or overflow.

It just either vents to the fender well or it'll drain under the airbox.

I can't remember but I plumbed mine into the wheel well so it went down the wheel flashing into the ground.
