So guys, new to the forum and could use some help. Im looking to build a 97-99 gtp coupe. Here is my plan on the build so far:

    http://www.3800performance.com/Merch...roduct_Count=5 Stage 6

    ported heads

    http://www.3800performance.com/Merch...roduct_Count=3 coil packs

    http://www.3800performance.com/Merch...roduct_Count=2 head studs

    http://www.3800performance.com/Merch...roduct_Count=4 better m90

    http://www.3800performance.com/Merch...roduct_Count=1 slp thermostat

this seems like a good start, but what else am i missing to make high HP? except for NOS. thanks and have a great day

You're missing the most vital parts...a built trans and a turbo kit.

Kits cost too much, you can piece together parts for cheaper.

MSD coils are junk, factory coils are far better and will not cause problems.

A Used GEN 5 supercharger can be had for 200-350 bucks most of the time, just paint it if you want a different color.

In the end your weak link is the transmission, after a 3.4ish pulley size with maybe 250+ wheel horsepower your trans becomes the part that you'd worry most about.

    Turbo.

You'll never reach 11's easily with a supercharger or if at all.

I'd just make it a quick car and something to bum around in.

Because honestly if you are dead set on going fast, get something RWD because you'll dump way too much money into something that is heavy and FWD.

If all you care about is numbers than spray it. Going e85 could also get you there but not without a lot of help. Cam, Headers, Nitrous.

    Oh and trans.
    Comp G. E85, 2.8, Headers, Tune, Intake, S1X, 105# springs, 60 # injectors, 255 walbro,etc.
