    Hey guys,

I installed a Glowshift oil pressure gauge and it's showing ~85-90 PSI at cold idle. After about 10-15 min of driving it'll drop to ~50-55PSI when it warms up a bit. Glowshift is saying this is totally acceptable. What do you guys think? I've changed the oil filter to be safe.

What weight motor oil are you using and how tight is your engine. On a new or very well maintained that is not uncommon.

Not sure on how many miles is on the motor, I got conflicting info from the junkyard. Every thing looked to be in very good shape when I put new gaskets on stuff, so I would think it's pretty low. I believe it has 5w-30 in it.

I would think that the gauge is a bit off. I wouldn't be worried about the motor.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

It's about 10 psi higher than I usually see but I wouldn't be concerned with it, maybe gauge is off.

I'm gonna double check the wiring, but I'll probably just leave it. It's weird seeing the gauge max out at 100 PSI at 1,500 RPM lol.

I think you got what you paid for with the Glowsh*t gauge. If it keeps up, stick an Autometer in there. Never had an issue with mine. My 00GT pushes ~70lbs cold, then drops to 50 or a bit below when full hot. And that's with 200K+ on it.

i would worry about oil flow more than oil pressure. if you have no flow then you burn up your engine.
im a cookie again yay me

Pressure and flow are proportional unless there is a blockage.
