Polish the casing , make it look like a mirror
Yeah it's not worth it to port and polish a GEN V, it will likely only make it perform worse.
As for powdercoating, they has to be somewhere within 30 miles of you that does it. If you live by any bigger cities.
Or, if you have an electric oven, you can DIY:

What do you mean by polishing to a mirror finish
Oh ok i understand. Most powdercoater do that rite. Do i disassemble the supercharger prior to the powdercoating. One last thing who would happen to rebuild superchargers and shave the snout to run smaller pulleys
Yes you would take it apart completely. You can get a snout machine tool from ZZP for a rental fee and just use that. As for a rebuild, you need a hydraulic press so I think most just buy a reman snout.
If you plan on running something smaller than a 2.7in pulley on there, then worry about machine work on the snout. You'll never go that low, thats some pretty extreme modding if you think you'd need to spin that thing that fast.
Thanx guys for the input. I found a gen v at the jy so i got it. Rotors are coated pretty damn good. I shouldve gotten the lim but didnt bring much as far as tools so if anyone has a lim layin around let me know
Believe it or not i didnt go out there with any tools. I went to the jy to find seats for my 90 xr7 and happened to see the l32 in the jy. I will go back out there this weekend and grab it off if its still there
I can do it just didnt have any tools. I asked a guy taking a car apart next to me to use his 10mm and ratchet
Sorry to change subjects a little bit, but how hard is it to PnP a M90 blower? And what gains could I realistically expect to get from doing this?
I'm getting ready to put a N* TB on and I have a CAI. What else should I do to let the engine breathe that much better? Thank you for help and support.
Don't port a genV, they are fine stock.. a gen3 you can open up a bit if you want
The gains are already made by switching to the Gen V, it's a ported GenIII, lol. If you want bigger gains you'd have to Whipple it!
