So I have some brand new Speed daddy headers and I have problems. It appears like the front header has to much angle coming out of the collector. If I put the cross over on the front header first it ends up way to high on the other end. If i put it on the rear header first then I can't get the front header to fit into the slip joint at all.
So who has had this problem? Should I send them back or is this normal? Whats the fix?

try turning the cross over pipe till it lines up right.
mine i put the cross over in the rear header, then the front header in the cross over like 1/2 way so it could clear the 2 end studs, gave the pipe a wiggle and a twist to line it up.
i also left my TB on during the install, saw no reason to remove it.
you may have to bend the pipe some if its really off. like no way it will line up. or e mail sd and ask for a new cross over pipe to be sent you you. or a full exchange.

I had to open up the expansion cuts a little more and used two people. One on the front and one on the back and push both headers towards the crossover at the same time.

I think this is common. I trimmed a little length of the rear end of the crossover and the collector portion of the front header. Just enough where everything would slip together. I was relying on the band clamps to seal everything. They did.

I had an issue where I couldn't get the crossover pipe to seal to the front header so I used copper rtv and a different style clamp to get it to seal.

Well I was able to beat cut bang and cuss the cross over into place. There was a good amount of tension on the headers when I tightened them up so I hope I don't get a gasket leak. Also had to cut my band clamp almost in half at the front header collector as there want enough of the header exposed to clamp to.

I was going to say...leave the headers loose.....attach and tighten up the crossover and then tighten the headers.

Attached the rear fully tightened down. Slide crossover onto rear and then put the front into it .. and bring the front over and start a couple of bolts, tap the crossover with a rubber mallet, tighten a little, repeat until done.
