Should have used the sling. Just a chain and lots pushing of the engine to drop in.
Engine is just resting in the engine bay. Transmission needs to be lined up and everything bolted in. Enough for tonight.

Speed Daddy Headers - Good product. Here is the catalytic converter. Used a chop saw and cut the cat, remember to measure twice and cut once. Between the head pipe and the catalytic inlet Speed Daddy provides a V-clamp setup . Provides a solid connection and allow angle change. Also included it the GM U-bend delete pipe. Comes with the rear O2 bung and oem hangers. Also comes with a cat delete pipe.
To install this system, you'll need a good welder, chop saw helps and measuring tape.
Here's a shot of the Speed Daddy Head pipe.
All welded and installed in the vehicle.
My GTP is a 1999. Speed Daddy thinks the o2 sensor will fit. I say no way. Used a air hammer and messaged the body until there was room.
Catalytic outlet with the rear o2. The Speed Daddy header install was alot work but when all bolted up, welded , hammered on... It looks very good. Very tight around from the front of the engine, crossover pipe into the rear header assembly. Very happy how it wraps around and exits the engine bay. The pipe connections for the catalytic are well thought out. Not sure whats the deal with the front o2.
Initial engine start. Cranked the engine over with the fuel system disabled to prime the oiling system. The picture of the oil pressure gauge is with the engine running at 2,000 rpm.
Should have deleted the sink trap while you had the chop saw and welder out. First speed bump/dip you go over its going to hit the ground.

Slick2500, look again ... Beautiful stainless " sink trap " ...looks like a sewer pipe...
First bump and its going to be flat. Trust me I have SD headers.
I was trying to say you should have done this. http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...28using-jig%29
Slick2500, I dont have the skills to do that. If I did I would be in another line of work.
Your welding looked pretty good to me.

Redcompg, sd head pipe is impressive along with the cat u-bend delete pipe. I priced 3inch dies for the pipe bender, over a grand. And not sure how stainless will bend with a regular exhaust bender. Just dealing sd design.
I've had SD's for 3 years atleast, been lowered for while too and I've never dented the goose neck.
I take speed bumps really slow, take driveways slow and watch where I drive and avoid huge dips in the road. It's not hard to drive normal and miss everything that can damage the car.
Not sure how... the engine has lasted over 500 miles. Last Saturday cruised through the Sierra gold country (300miles) just seeing how the car performs. Very impressed by it's road manners. Very stable at high speeds. MPG 22 and increasing. Engine mods are SD headers, VS cam, #90 valve springs, zzp valve retainers, comp pushrods, rollmaster timing assembly, zzp high pressure oil relief, L32 GM connecting rods, KB hyper. pistons, Hasting rings, timing cover, arp cylinder head studs, arp main cap studs, arp rocker arm bolts, arp flex plate bolts, replaced all rubber coolant hoses, elbows, waterpump, refilled with ethylene glycol .Machine work, block decked, bored, mains line honed, rotating assembly balanced, cylinder heads.
Many thanks to you guys and gals for posting about your cars. This GTP sat in the parking lot for seven months. Purchased the car from our customer. Found this forum. And began reading many threads and replies about this GM W platform . The endless stories about mods, repairs, racing, restoring motivated me to completely rebuild this L67. The recipe for building this engine came from this forum, just some advice. If you're going to rebuild a engine, find the best machine shop you can afford and have the block and rotating parts professionally serviced.
After the first 1000 miles of this engine's new life. Oil change with synthetic oil, ACD oil filter. AND THE PULLEY DROP, which size pulley do you recommend?

Different spring package, notice one more coil on the Monroe. I've edit this post after road testing, the old struts were bottoming out, Springs lost tension.my shop sells 99 percent kyb products. Monroe fact rep presented these new line of struts, and after seeing, installing and road testing, I will recommend this product to my customers.
