Hi all, I've got a doosy for you. I've been having a sporadic problem with my car not starting unless I give it gas. When I go out to start it, one of three things will happen.
About 50% of the time, my car will start up and run just fine. About 25% of the time, I will have to give it gas to get it started - it will turn over, but not start unless I give it gas. The other 25% of the time, my car still won't start unless I give it gas, but this time it will not stay running unless I stay on the gas. It just peters out and dies on me if I let it get down to normal idle rpm and let off the gas completely. The SES Light and the SRS Air Bag lights are on.
I have replaced the throttle position sensor within the last 6-12 months. I have 12.3 volts on the battery with the car not running and 14.3 volts when it is running. I usually have about 40 psi of fuel pressure as checked with a gauge when the key is in the on position or the engine is running. The fuel pressure does not fade as long as the key is in the on position or the engine is running. Fuel pressure does very slowly go to zero when the engine is off and the key is pulled. I have replaced the fuel pump resistor and it looks to be the second time this was done, as the old resistor was already rerouted over the washer fluid bottle and mounted on the firewall. I have not checked the spark plugs, but I do not suspect them as I have replaced the plugs and wires within the past 2 years and the car does run fine about half the time. I have not noticed any decrease in power whatsoever as I did when I had one bad plug. MAF sensor has been replaced within the last year or two and I got a new water pump a year ago from July. Also replaced the blower last winter. Replaced the front passenger wheel bearing last week and tried to do the front driver's, but the steering knuckle bolts stripped out. Both ABS sensors were reconnected. My Cooling Fan 2 fuse keeps blowing and I haven't looked into that much yet. I have tried shorting the fuel pump relay to lock it in high speed both before and after the new fuel pump resistor with no dice. Trying to think of anything electrical here.

I have a $200 Actron scanner waiting for me at my parent's place that I should have next weekend, and can pull codes then. In the mean time, any help would be greatly appreciated. You guys rock, thanks in advance.
