Wondering if i should run a 3.5 with the vs with higher timing or a 3.4. What do people usually see for timing on there setups with the vs?

    Every car is different??

3.4 to 3.5 makes zero difference in my eyes, we are talking maybe 1ish psi at the most. Pick one and run it.

Really your at 18* on a gen3 with the vs and a 3.4? See thats why im wondering. Who said to use a 3.2(gen3) or 3.4(gen5) on a mild cam. Just seems like running higher timing like your setup on a larger pulley would be better.

Ya they say you can run a 3.2 with the VS and supporting mods which I'm sure I could but probably not with that much timing. it's better to run a bigger pulley that is KR free and higher timing than a smaller pulley with KR. I try to run no more than 18* of timing KR free before I go down.

I say just go 3.4 if it knocks a bit play with the timing and maybe add a bit of fuel where it knocks to combat the KR and she what you can get out of it.

It you end up.not being able to run it you know you can sell it and you won't be out much cash.

When I was S/C I ran a 2.8/XP/18*....I think a larger pulley and more timing is a better setup then tiny pulley no timing.
