I have a set of heads ported by Chris Hinson. I am trying to decide which cam to use. He suggests his heads do well with the XP cam. If I run the xp cam do I use the 130 or 140 lb springs or can I use the 90 lb springs? I have a set of 90 lb springs already and would like to use what I have so save on costs. I am also considering a VS cam because it will do well with 90 lb springs and I already have them.

Looking for advice on which cam/spring combo to use.

I have 105's on a cam very similar to the XP. Holding up just fine. I know a few other guys with the same cam as me and they have their revs at like 6.3k? Give or take. And they have mileage on their setups holding up just fine.

if the heads were ported with the Xp cam in mind then that is the cam you should run.
