Yesterday after driving the car I grabbed some seafoam and added it to oil led than 1/4 bottle vac less than 1/4 bottle and gas... car smimed like hell but still drove 100% fine
.... i drove car to work and and added 1qt of oil... car still crunk and idled fine
...about 11 hours later i started car to warm up to go home..... I heard the exhaust popping so I ran back outside and killed car.... popped hood to see of anything is out of place.. all I found was the egr clop in header.... wasn't melted bad... but I snipped that end off since the egr is deleted... so started car again... nothing... so I drove car home (1mile away... and let it still til this afternoon... k pulled plugs all were black.. I cleaned them and put them in... changed ICM and coils.... problem still there....no check engine light torque app says no misfire.... idk what to do... 98 gtp

change the oil for one. ive heard bad storys about seafoam in the oil.

probably unrelated to the seafoam.. if the plugs were all black that means its pig rich. or it need new plugs due to being fouled. maybe plug wires too.

I would make sure that the wires from that plug are isolated from each other, I doubt thats the issue but it might cause issues down the road.
My first guess would have been plugs, I was told to change your plugs after doing the seafoam treatment. But if it is popping it is misfiring, are you reading current misfires or history? One of them wouldn't show misfires on my 97 and the other did but I can not remember which one did.

Maybe one cracked or something, and you just can't see the crack.

Seafoam is usually good to use right before you change your oil and change plugs as its known to foul plugs and ruin oil. Change your oil and you may have to swap your plugs out again. Or it could be a completely different thing unrelated to the seafoam.

I've never driven the car with seafoam in the oil. When I first got my truck I drained some. Plug it back up. Put the seafoam in let it idle for 10 min changed the oil completely. You shoulda seen the **** coming out of there. Probably shouldn't have did that cause it was holding stuff together lol

Yeah, you are not supposed to drive with seafoam in the oil. It thins it.

As for the misfires, I personally have never had seafoam foul my plugs, but I have heard of others having their plugs fouled from all the carbon that was cleaned off the valves.

Every time I've ran seafoam I've always changed the oil and plugs about 15 minutes after running it. The oil gets WAY too thin. I added mine through the brake booster hose though.
