    I've owned a couple of these 3800s, and my last two both made a rather loud howling noise through the intake. It's almost like a pulley noise... except it sounds like it's coming directly from the throttle body. Is this a normal thing? I cannot for the life of me think of what might cause it. Last car was an Olds 88, current car is a '99 GTP.

    Let me guess, it's only when it's cold started or you have a intake.


    That noise is the air rushing past the IAC passage inside the throttle body.

    My black car on cold starts sounded like the end of the hose on a Hoover lol silver car isn't as loud.

    I wanted that noise lol and I still don't get it with my intake

    Port your blower and tb and pulley down lol.
