I know this is not the first muffler thread but i was hopeing that there was some new muffler out that sounds quite and good i had a custom exhaust installed after my sd headers and it sounds horible its a 2.5" pipe that splits to 2.25 at the mufflers its got a long resonator the mufflers are oval 14" long straight threw design i told the muffler shop i didnt want it loud jest a little more aggressive than stock i picked everything but the mufflers and come to find out its the most aggressive mufflers they stock. So what mufflers do you guys think sound a little more aggressive than stock

Hurtz is right IMO. Super turbo mufflers are quiet at idle with a bit more rumble. and they open up the more throttle you give them. But in reality, it's hard to get our cars with the 3800 to sound good. From my experience I have found Borla sounds good also, but pricey.

The Turbo mufflers have packing inside that baffles or (muffles) the sound more. Good luck!!!

Keep the resonator, change the mufflers to Thrush turbo mufflers. I love mine.

I completely agree. Nice deep tone. Not too loud.

I haven't heard a pair of Borlas that hasn't sounded good on a v8 so my answer would be yes but obviously you'll probably want to do a bit of research
