Horrible advice right here.
The gain from headers is really quite invisible over a stock manifold/downpipe setup for 99.9% of the guys out there... Without the correct cam to take advantage of the new exhaust harmonics you are not gaining anything other than a non restrictive downpipe when switching to headers.
An intercooler on the other hand will allow you to safely make MUCH more power through the entire powerband regardless of what cam you have... Gains would be in the 30whp range conservitively on a stock car with a pulley change.
considering 16 degrees is stock timing... You actually lost a degree over a stock tune.No kr at all with 5 added degrees of timing, stock was 10.
Tuning is the most overrated mod for horsepower. You are not going to find magical horsepower in adding a ton of timing (in most cars, save some of the more aggressive cam setups), air fuel is quite rich stock and leaning it out will mean extra power in some properly octaned or intercooled cars... but it wont be anything you should be able to feel on the ass dyno.As to with a stock tune, my friends kr was completely gone and he noticed probably 15 whp tops. The tune was where the biggest difference of all was noticed. Tuning is everything. If you don't plan on modding anything further than that it would more or less just expensive.
