Where do you hear the sound coming from? Almost sounds like a bad coupler in the SC but I'm listening off my phone so I could be wrong?

That's what I thought, took the belt off and it still does it,I thought it could have been a rocker arm but someone said it can't be,I'm thinking maybe a pulley but not to sure

A had a similar issue what I did was take the belt off and then rotate the tensioner pulley by hand and listening and feel for play. I had one that bearings were pretty much non existent. Worth a try and it'll only take you a few minutes.

Considering I'm guessing the car is still running fine I wouldn't freak out to much. Besides the tensioner pulleys I haven't heard any cases of the other pulleys needing to be replaced but I suppose you can still just check for play with your hand and make sure the bolts that hold them aren't loose. I'm sure others will chime in tomorrow as well as too what the sound maybe.

Ok thanks, when the gas is pressed I think it smooths out but besides the crank sensor I believe it runs pretty good,I think somebody may have took the governor off if that's possible because it dosent seem to quit at 126,if it dosent rain I'm going to go out there and check it all out

My question is do they make a gasket and how many ft pounds do I torque it to,I don't want to crack anything or can I just tighten it enough and feel until it gets snug?
