When I jab the throttle it vibrates terribly. It sounds like it's coming from the trans. I'm pretty sure it's either the flexplate or converter. The car drives completely normal....... no slippage or hard shifting.

Sorry about the quality, it's the only camera I have. I can post another one if necessary.

freakin identical, I noticed that vid a couple days ago. That's what made me so certain it's the flexplate. It's at the trans shop right now. They're bending me over for 1900 for a rebuild.

Damn all I can say, is if you know how to work on the engine, do it yourself.

My flexplate broke back in Feb. and total, it cost me $30 for the flexplate, then like $50 for fluids (oil, antifreeze, etc)

All it takes it pulling the motor out (i know it sounds sarcastic, but its really not that bad)

Took me 3 days all together, 1 to pull it, 1 to swap the flexplate(just takes 8 10mm bolts, easy to get to) and detail the engine before it went back in, and then 1 more day to put the engine back in.

Hell, for 1800bucks I'll do it for ya!

I was going to get the triple edge I even talked to Dave on the phone (very cool guy BTW) but this was a sudden thing and I would have had to wait 2 weeks before I could even take it in, plus I'd have to drive it that way for 150 miles. I know how to do it myself, I've removed/ installed plenty of transmissions but I live in an apartment and I work almost every day so it wasn't an option for me. I did however, have a long talk with the guy rebuilding it to make sure he was aware of the common troubles these transmissions have and he was which is a good sign, they're putting the hardened 4th gear, extra clutches, etc in it.
