Could be your torque converter getting sloppy and dumb. That happend to me and Zach Brunsink. He changed his torque converter from a sloppy 3k stall to a new stock gt one and picked up 50WHP on the dyno. I haven't re-dyno'd mine since replacing mine since Im gonna be doing e85 dyno tune later this year but its probably the same thing.

I can't see how a converter can get sloppy short of failure, and that typically takes out other components with it.

Changing from a higher stall to a lower stall will increase HP to the wheels because it's more efficient.
