Well.... The stupid fog machine didn't work.... :-/ I'm just going to pull my supercharger off and put a new gasket down with RTV and see what happens. I hear a for sure hissing sound around where the supercharger meets the LIM between the #3 and 5 injectors... I'll swap it out here pretty soon.. Fingers crossed..

Well good luck man I hope its the gasket. I'm gonna try and take mine somewhere and have it looked at cause this is nuts. I've also noticed the car is faster if I don't go full throttle and if I do kr shoots up real high and the car goes nowhere so I've been babying a lot now.

Did you plug the exhaust when using the smoke machine? This will let you build some pressure. If not it will go right out of whatever exhaust valves are open.

Thanks. I'll let you know if it helps. I agree it's nuts!!! Hope you find your issue to. Might use a couple other diagnosis tools, gasoline and match..

Noooo. But will now. I don't think the little fog machine I got will put out enough to fill up the motor and exhaust, but will try.. dayumit

I always use gaskets and rtv. You just need to use only a little so you dont plug up any holes such as pcv. It adds a little time to cleaning it up next time you have it apart. I think rtv is the way to go.

I won't go haywire on the RTV, I never do. I've also found that RTV comes off easier then crap dried on, baked on gaskets. LOL I will just put a thin film of it down and will probably use the thinner locktite stuff like the snout uses. Going to research and try more with the fog machine before I tear it back down.

    Well I found my "problems"yesterday.
The EVAP line that runs to the port behind the TB had a Very small crack in it. I just happened to find it as I was reinstalling it.
Fixed my LTFT's and my MAF finally showed its true colors so I bought a new one and now I'm getting no more than 1.5° of KR total at any point. Was getting almost 5 prior to changing the maf. Weird I know but it fixed it so I'm Happy as a cat in a twine warehouse! Lol

You shouldn't need to cover your exhaust to run a smoke test. Your intake valve should be closed, and if the intake valve is open then the exhaust valve is closed. I did a redneck smoke test. I connected a hose onto the check valve of my brake booster, sparked up a black and mild, then blew every drag into that hose. For the TB, I took a blue latex glove and stretched it over the TB.

The problem with my car and the valves is I'm running an XP cam and from what I understand the valves have overlap to help with heat so it is possible I am losing smoke in the exhaust.. I have a HAI on mine as well.. I just wrapped and taped up a bag around the filter, but I may remove the filter all together and try again. I am still not seeing any KR ever and as long as my fit is barely on the throttle my LTFT's are normal, it's just at idle. I have yet to pull the supercharger off, I've been to busy. I hate to pull the supercharger off because I'd think if the leak was as bad as the whistle sound sounds it would be causing more trouble, but I could be wrong.. Wouldn't be the first time.. LOL I did change my rear valve cover gasket yesterday and had my battery unplugged for several hours allowing my PCM to "reset" I started the car up afterwards and LTFT's were perfect, for a little while.. Frustrating as all get out...

Twizted, glad you found your problem and it's amazing the slightest thing can cause this much chaos...

Ok, my stock fuel pump just took a dump today. I am wondering if my weak pumping on it's way out could be the cause of my LTFT's being weird. I am running a stock GT single relay (I assume single speed) fuel pump since my build. My LTFT's would be normal sometimes and progressively got worse, but still had their "normal" moments... I wonder if my pump couldn't keep up with my demands!! I'll find out when my new pump arrives I guess....

Can't rule out the pump. Just don't buy the cheap one. Buy bosch.

The high speed miss sounds like a coil breaking down.

I was looking at getting a new venturi canister and running a 255lph pump with hot wire kit. Just not sure which pump yet...

I have to find a canister first.. :-/

Don't get me started on a miss... LOL I HATE misses.. They rank up there with this dayum P0171 code.....

Lmao, yea I agree with the misses.

I went with the Delphi and love it. Its 3yrs old and still as good as it was new.
performs as well as my walbro.
I'm not running a hotwire kit though.

I'll have to run the hotwire kit. Since my car is a GT, I only have one fuel pump relay. All the GTP's have two I believe, for the variable speed. If I go with a GTP style pump, which I will regardless due to the flow rate being so much higher, I'll have to direct wire it with the kit.

I'm still not sure which pump I want to get yet. I've looked at the Delphi's, so far rock auto has them the most reasonable ($230ish) then the hotwire kit for another $50 - $60. Prices are all over the place with these pumps, and I don't know what I want. I heard the walbro's can't go below quarter tank of gas if it's non venturi. I'll pull my canister out tomorrow to see exactly what I have, but I'm thinking it's a non venturi style right now...
