Hey guys just wondering EXACTLY what everyone thinks the most beneficial and critical mods are to a gtp.
I realize there is a search button and have done nothing but read and research. Before I sit down and order my parts i'd like a consensus YES.
Car is an 02 anniversary GTP coupe, 177k. Only mod is a K&N intake.
2 months ago when I picked the car up I did the aluminum LIM, valve cover gaskets, injector o rings, NGK tr55 plugs, charger oil and gasket, new thermostat, coolant elbows, and clearly all fluids.
Starting with a clean slate and all maintenance taken care of lets make a little more power.
-EXHAUST

Links with info...
(The 02 Anniversary comes with a fatback exhaust system from the factory so I'm good in that aspect of the exhaust system)
So in reading around it seems the front manifold, down pipe and u-bend are the most restrictive piece of the exhaust system. What is the prefered "system" people replace it with. Grab a powerlog front mani and ubend delete? Or run straight into headers and ignore the powerlog, U-Bend, and Downpipe?
Any recommended set of headers? ease of installation and cost effective? I'm leaning towards headers but curious what else I will need to pick up to complete the exhaust system 100% and move on...
- Tuned PCM
I'm brand new to tuning. Had tons of issues with my 87 Grand national. No idea where to start when it comes to tuning. Always took the car to the shop to fix issues.
Can you pick up a tuned PCM online? do you send yours in? whats the best option available
-Pulley
At this point I'm not looking at dropping pulley sizes. I've heard horror stories and dont want to get into any trouble with the pulley. However when I'm properly equipped and ready to take the next step...
A 3.4 seems like the way to go. After exhaust and a pcm has been taken care of. am i wrong?
Lets leave it at that for now and expand when were ready
Thanks in advance guys.
Derek
