OK, I have been looking around on here for a while, so im basicly just looking for ideas on what order i need to do mods and what would be best. I have a 2006 gt. stock other than cai. yes no power there but sc sounds better. Planned mods 1) PCM from 3800. 2)Speed Daddy headers.3) 180 tstat.4) Smaller sc pully. So my questions are can i get PCM first and will that make gas gauge read backwards like ive read about the 05s? What size pully is safe, will I need cooler plugs? And should i do entire exhuast or will headers be ok for now. Hafta spread some of this out, not what ya call rich here. Thanks for the help, alot of knowledgable people on here, love the forum!

It's entirely possible that you don't have a Thanks button until you get 20 posts, the same way you can't make a for-sale ad until you get 20 posts. This would cut down on people making accounts to thank themselves, I assume.

And not to just get more posts, but a legit question. Is there a way without doing alot of mods to get rid of the 40 mph WOT lag and change shifting so the car downshifts from 4th to 2nd etc?

You can just buy a PCM...you don't techincally have to have mods for a aftermarket PCM...it'll just run at its best with a 3.4" and headers with the tuned PCM...we drop tunes in stock cars quite often here. Run pretty damn good for bone stock cars. Only thing I'd honestly do with a PCM...get the U-Bend taken out, get a 180* T-Stat, and make a cheap intake from PVC piping...those things plus the PCM will wake your car up...trust me.

Thanks blue. Do the 06's have the ubend? And i like the idea of doing things in stages rather than all at once as you can feel what each mod does rather than all at once.

I can believe it. Stock headers on just about anything are restrictive. Other than some sealing problems the speed daddy headers seem like a decent way to go? For the price differnce i could care less what name stamped on em lol. Just not looking forward to that rear header at all, looks like a pain in the ***.

    Stock...we have manifolds, not headers.

It's only a PITA if you aren't prepared. Ratchet strap the engine forward...remove misc. bullsh1t brackets...its a cake walk. Delete the EGR and Converter in the process.

Speed Daddy headers also seal just fine as long as you use plenty of high temp RTV...the people that have leak issues just put a dab of it on...don't be afraid to use the sh1t.
