After I put my headers and pulley on last weekend I took my car out and I went WOT and my rpm went to 4000 and just bounced their until I let off a little bit then it went normal, so I put a new fuel pump in tonight and took it out did a burnout went fine then when I got to 2nd gear it did the same thing, anybody know what the problem could be and also what is the fuel psi suppose to be at because I when I checked it, it was at about 46psi on the new pump and the old one held about 39-41psi! Any help to this problem would be appreciated!

Let me guess... you are not actively scanning parameters on the car?

It sounds like your burnouts may have sent this tranny on it's way to a slow death. These cars don't like burnouts/abuse in stock form.

And yea, before you go beating on it please scan it and make sure your next post isn't about a chipped piston

Sorry ...lack of caffination caused me to now see the sig. How long have those msd's been on. They have been known to break down and cause issues at higher rpm. Usually when they are less than a year old.

Put your stock coil packs back on and see if you notice a difference.

Couldn't hurt. Start spraying the fittings with pb blaster now.

And remember, twist the filter, not the line.
