So my flex went on my headers a couple of weeks ago and I decided it was time to just change the whole exhaust.. I had 3" dp to cat then to stock res and then to some flow masters super 44's... the car was pretty raspy and drone was there but over the years I got use to it.... anyway bought a 3"x35" cherry bomb glasspack(longest one they make)... went 3" from there to 2.5" into some Magnaflows and some new 3.5" dual tips...

The result.. wow what a difference there is no drone and virtually no rasp.. car actually sounds good and not just for a 3800 lol I was surprised how well it turned out.. I will try and get a sound clip soon once the weather permits. Just thought I'd share

Glad you like the Magnadrone's...every car I've rode in/heard minus Curtis' old GTP sounds too mellowed out/droney for me.

But if you like it, then that's what matters.

    Now; cam

Ya an xp can is my next venture... I thought they would be droney too but they aren't.. I think the glasspack helps out a lot.. and on another plus side I can hear my blower soooo much better now haha I forgot how my blower whine sounded with my flowmasters lol

I was actually looking at the same one to quiet my exhaust down. I'm glad it worked out well, now I'm sure I'll be buying it.

Ya its definitely a lot quieter then before.. but I am kinda liking it more and more... its not too quiet yet loud enough when you need it

Which way did you mount it, the "fins" inside facing toward or away from the engine?

I forget the proper terminology for them, but inside the resonator are usually fin looking cuts/molds inside(or they might be holes in this case, so it wouldn't matter) and I know to help keep noise down, guys will mount the finned portion against the flow of the exhaust (as long as it is non-directional) to quiet the tone even more.

He got rid of the stock ressy if I understand it right; Ed.

Which, is actually quieter than a glasspack...it was most likely just the mufflers killing it.

Yeah I got that part. I have a zeezeepee CB with a Magnaflow res., and at this point I think it's just for decoration because the exhaust sounds like it's doing nothing to help the noise control. So I was looking into hyuge resonators to see if it'll be much better than what I have now.

If you can find a really good shape one; get a stock resonator. They're really quiet.

I still have my stock CB, I loved it but I up'd to a 3inch CB so I don't want to put the stocker back on.

Wotgtp... the glasspack is non directional it can be installed either way... and ya the stock res might be quieter but for one it is only 2.5" and two I wasn't looking for an entirely quiet exhaust setup just less drone and rasp

Yeah, I ordered on on eBay. Hopefully I'll have less John Deere sound coming out the tail pipe.
