You get the top end with the Plog and ported rear, without the losses. That's why headers for the L36 never caught on.

So you're seriously going to spend $260 on a front powerlog? Another hundred dollars (which you could get from selling your downpipe) and your in header territory which will easily outperform that powerlog/downpipe setup. Even if you are dead set on getting a powerlog I still don't understand why you would want to spend an extra $140 on the SS and coating to receive minimal gains at the most.

get Downpipe/plog: if you are low budget like me. If you are going to buy headers, you might as well buy the best damn set there is so you don't get any leaks- like the zzp stainless headers... Have heard to many horror stories about pacesetter leaks and incorrect alignments... just my theory though And if you want the zzp stainless headers and plan on getting a cat'd downpipe, that's around $900... So in my opinion, I will take my $140 random tech SS downpipe (bought used), and buy a $180 SS plog and maybe a $60 crossover or ($360 combined w/ plog) rear mani's and and call it a day. haha. that's just my opinion though... however I'm sure the headers do give you way better gains...

Pacesetter's are fine, just get them welded at an exhaust shop so you don't have to worry about any leaks.

So you have to cut them out if you ever need them out of the way? No thanks.
