And most of you say" So what, I want performance. And the colder t-stat makes my car run like a raped ape!" Again, I have to ask, do you realize why this is the case?

If you tune the car for the colder T-Stat you can keep the same milage and get power gains I am running a 160 t-stat and intercooled car all year and still get good mileage

For a daily driver, even with your mods, a 160°F stat is overkill. You have a tuner, do it right and you will see more gains.

For the track where you are running pass after pass at WOT, I agree a colder stat is needed. But on the street in a daily driver, a colder stat is not needed and is backwards thinking.....especially when you have a tuner.

Ya a 180* stat with modified fan turn on points is more than sufficient.
