04 still has metal oil pan.

I'd toss in a new rear main seal and put the 04 timing cover and oil pick up on this motor.

But other than the brackets and such its not much to change.

04 timing cover has bigger oil return or something right? I plan on regasketing everything so I don't have to worry about it for years to come.

Its always been cheaper to buy them piece by piece.

Either do it online at autozone and use the coupon or buy from rockauto.

yes and the heads too. I thought it had a reuseable gasket? I was gonna pull everything off and clean the piss out of it.

Nope not TB gasket for us. Of course the head gasket should be replaced..I'm sure you could reuse it but for as cheap as they are I wouldn't. Remember you gotta get new headbolts.

I have comp cam bolts on my gtp I'm thinking pretty hard about stealing them off it to put on the comp g and putting stockers in the gtp.

Might as well but stock bolts in the GTP and comp cam in the comp g. GTP probably won't last as long as the comp g I imagine so the better parts should go in the comp g and ride the GTP to the ground.
