That doesn't get to the point, more power obviously equals more chance of destroying all else constant. My point is similar to a well tuned motor. Lets say the limit of the stock internals with a perfect tune is 350whp. After that things start blowing up no matter what you do. Same question for the trans, does the 280whp+ range start breaking it apart no matter what? If the 3.1 I/C setup would be in that neighbourhood then I will opt for the 3.4

Not expecting a perfect answer just a reasonable expectation. With my current basic mods the tranny seems perfectly content.
