Some how i found a hole in my front header. Would this cause an exhaust leak tick that gets louder as i accelerate?

I'm not even sure its worth welding.
Or possible.
Can i just header wrap it for now until i can order new headers?
yeah, that'd help.
Ok thanks

how did that happen?..
lol im sorry. that is unfortunate
doesnt look like abrasion to me.
why header wrap, get one of those exhaust band clamp things. rtv tighten down let dry walla it was never there
I will try all options. Thanks guys
I would just jb weld it
Not forward enough on the header pipe for an abrasion hole, looks liked a grinder or some sorta chemical. Doesn't really matter. I'd try the JB weld, if headers are off car you can push JB weld into the header pipe and flatten it on both sides, akin to a rivet. Then smooth it down prior to final hardening. JB weld is rated for 600*f but I don't know if the heating/cooling cycles will effect it.
Good luck!
those headers get hotter than 600* combustion temps range up to 1200* for a healthy car, hotter with no egr
Yea the headers are hotter than all head

Could it be from battery acid?
I know exactly how it happened
I just noticed this problem on my car with my speed daddy headers.. It's being pushed up to the fan motor casing. I knew it would cause this... This why I'm ordering slim fans in like 10 min
