Well driving to the gf house today I noticed a clicking sound coming from the engine bay. It's not constant through all rpm ranges. When idling I don't hear it at all. With about 1/4 throttle driving down the road I can hear it, but as soon as I let off or give it gas I can hear it anymore. I dunno if it's a tensioner or something worse, hoping not I've only had he car for 2 months :-/

Which side of the car does it come from. Be specific. What's the make and model of ur car. The more info the better. Is the car driving normal or is it acting up

Sent from my pager using Morse code. ... .. ... ....

It's the 04 GTP in my sig, car runs beautifully, sound comes around 2000-3000 Rpms and disappears above or below that range. It's coming from the passenger side where the accesory belt is, and it doesn't sound like a motor knock, it's almost like a loud solenoid clicking. Or a tensioner clicking.

Its normal intake noise, my 97 did that after I put on an open cone. I find that I can hear it more when the car is cold and around 2500rpms seems to be the sweet spot to hear it.

Its not in the m90 because I have an N/A and when I put my open cone on I got the same noise. In a matter of fact I asked the same question lol. I asked many people about it and no one can find the actual cause.

When I tear my motor apart for my topswap I will try to find any out of place parts to try and find the cause of this ticking.
