What would be the best head gaskets for an L67 swapping to P&P L32 heads with stock valves? Should I go the cosmetic route, or just get some standard Fel-Pro gaskets off rockauto? If cosmetic, how thick of a gasket? Thanks

I use FelPro permatorques on them. They hold up well. I also run head studs with them. Probably not necessary at my level but I plan on pulling the heads and I'll be damned if I'm buying another set of head bolts.

Get Victor-Reinz from RA for the L36.

    Don't use Cometic.

Forgot to mention that I'm going with arp studs over gm tty bolts. Should I still go with the fel-pro, even though intense recommends cosmetics? And why go L36 gaskets if the heads are L32? Wouldn't L32 gaskets be the better gasket?

Why L36 over L67/L32 gaskets? Are they the same gasket just cheaper? Wouldn't the L67/32 gaskets be stronger?

i honestly think the L67 gaskets are just wrong or something, because they dont really make sense when you go to install them.

Fel pro lists one gasket for L67. So you flip the gasket on the other side.

Block and heads are identical except for the machined pocket for the fuel injector.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I've seen too many cometic's leak to warrant going with them unless you have a perfect mating surface on block and head. I used victor reinz gaskets when I rebuilt mine. That's what gm used. I've seen plenty of fel pro's go on just fine though
