Before I assume its a spun rod bearing I figure it would be wise to make sure before I go aimlessly tearing in to this thing.

I've never posted vid before. But ill see what I can do when I get home. I'm kicking around trying to sell it as. But not sure what its worth. Even tho its a GTX not sure if that helps much. I just spent two days putting in new LIM and UIM GASKETS Plus giving it a good tune up. Kinda disheartening really. But well see.
If the body on your car is immaculate with a knocking motor you'd be lucky to clear $1000
Yup won't get much w/ a knocking motor. Most will just give you what the body itself is worth to them if they plan on replacing the motor.
That's about how much I was thinking. It'd be better to part it out if I was to go that route. I tried to be careful when I pulled the intake off.
I did get some in the oil but only a couple cups worth maybe. The initial startup only lasted maybe a minute because it was missing so bad.
I then drained the oil but as bad as it looked I know it had to have been seeping in for a while. I think the damage was
already done when I test drove it.
You didn't change the oil before start up? That's how you killed it.
i didn't change my oil after my lim job, but then again i also did not spill any coolant into the engine. it was still nice and clean, i idled the car for about 5 minutes, then checked the oil again, it was golden honey still.
Well that's because your magic lol
Yup coolant in oil > boom !! I would however change your oil now in case it really isn't knock your feeling verify the plug wires are correct and such and make sure everything is connected. Then upload a video for us to see it'll help a lot more.
I only idled the car for less than a minute with the bad oil in it. becuase it was misfiring so badly. I immedialtly changed it afterwards, ran it for a about four or five min then drained it again. Its not a bad spark wire or anything like that because it ran perfect, better than it ever had since i owned it,... for about ten min. lol
The starting it with coolant in the oil killed it in a hurry. Live and learn
I guess it is possible. Not gonna rule out stupidity. It's been about 6 yrs since I had done the LIM swap.
