I have ready every how-to, looked at many many different cam install write ups (although they all seem to be copy and pasted with different authors taking credit) and I understand everything, but the one thing that stands out to me is no where it mentions what size socket to use for removing the cam sprocket itself. I have my motor out, tore down, and on a stand and it measures just shy of 1 1/8th (28MM) with dial calipers. In none of the right ups is it mentioned needing any tools over 18MM (although I know removal of the harmonic balancer requires a 22MM socket), am I missing something? or miss understand something in the process? Or do I need to go buy a 1 1/8th socket? of course the one size I dont have...

I use 1 1/8 because I've been too lazy to measure in MM and I had it laying in the drawer. You are correct on the sizing though.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Thanks for the input everybody, and yes Matt, my mistake it was 24MM I used on the crank, not 22MM.
