My grand prix GTP has 180,556 miles and i was turning on to an onramp to get on the interstate and my car drops rpms to about 100 Rmp and i have to pump it to make it stay running, then on the interstate it was bouncing rpms from about 3000 to 2500 my gauge was going up and down then i put it in 3rd gear and flored it and it snapped out of it. I was just wondering if any body might know what is causing this to happen and just for the record it takes longer for the car to start and besides that its fine today.

Unplug the MAF and try again.

Could be that, could be the CPS (crank pos. sensor as well).

I'm hedging my bet toward fuel pressure. Your pump is about the right age/mileage, they symptoms feel right. The bouncing rpm on the highway make me think of ignition related TCC oscilation. When was the last tune up?

I put a new fuel pump with sending unit in about 2 months ago I put new spark plugs and wires about 3 months ago and I'm going to change the oil next week its at about 25% oil life, supercharger oil about 5 months ago, and tranny was just flushed and new filter about 8 months ago right before i bought it.

Ok, the MSD's ...will cause missing. Usually at high rpm though. And in under a year. The stock packs are actually better and more durable. What brand type of plug did you use. Bosch are known to cause issues in as little as a month.
