You have to remove to coil bracket and it should pop right off.
The three bolts holding the motor mounts? does this also include the tensioner?
thanks
I'm removing to check my rocker assembly, do you see many failures, it's not noisey however It runs rough and smoother with #1 wire disconnected, have changed spark plug, wires, coil, ICM.
No everything looked normal, while on a long trip started with a clicking noise put a little seafowm in the crank case quit making noise after a couple more hours of driving, have check engine flashing and running rough have checked all injectors, replaced wires and plugs 1/4 coil and Icm can't really hear any tapping noise.
ac delco, 58 gap
id still be doing compression test.
if a valve spring broke there would most likely be more than just a clicking noise. you'd hear the rocker clapping.
the flashing cel most of the time is one hell of a misfire or a clogged cat will also make it flash.
Took a compression test cyl #4 shows 25lb Tested it 5 times, 1 time out of 5 it went to 100lb, could this be a collapsed lifter? and still not be noisey, is there anything I can try to free the lifter?
pretty sure you need to take all the plugs out and then test the cylinders one by one, so to be able to compare your numbers.
at least thats how ive done it in the past.
Replaced the #4 intake push rod, runs great, I added rislone to the oil, I think I'll start it every few hours allowing the rislone to do it's job just in case my lifter caused the propblem. Any other suggestions appreciated.
That's great that you have it fixed. Hope long term it's good for you.
