I bought a new maf for my 02 Gtx the other day and it was completely different than the one on my car. I called Autozone where I bought it and they said that part was the one showing on their computer. Any idea which maf I should be looking for?

When you look at the top of it. It should say something like afh50m-50 or it's 05 instead of 50. Just looked at mine yesterday.
After looking at pics of mafs from different yr models Mine looks like the ones from the 97-98 yr models. Same style. Wondering now if the throttle body was replaced with a different yr model
The TB is a direct bolt on, so it's possible. From the outside they look identical.
Ported would be nice. So I'm wondering if my PCM is compatible with that maf. It's def the older version MAF
The PCM says Delphi on it. So I'm assuming it's stock. Although it has White Gtx labeled on it. Curious
By my catalog at work (GM Parts) the MAF is the same 97-98 & then 99-03. the 99-03 is a GM# 19179715 (ACDelco #213-4337).
But if your car is a 02 GTX it may have a different one from SLP, if they ported the TB and used a difference one you would have to use the number on the MAF Sensor and cross it to match.
Factory one looks like this

I guess it is possible that it's potted from SLP. I'll try to get a pic of the sticker posted later. Its just a plain white sticker with White GTX in bold black print. About 1" tall and 4,5" long. No other markings. Also the end of the sensor seems to be missing. The litte wires are exposed at the end. If the tb is ported do they shorten the sensor?
Just measure the throttle body ID. IF it's bigger than stock then it's been ported.
I think stock is 69mm? I'm sure someone will correct me if wrong.
There should also be some work done to the area where the MAF on the inside.
