And if you look at my posts..I say no rtv. Although on those.. best of luck. I think a buddy got a 5" wide band clamp that had some goop in it and that did a good job.

Also curious...when you sad a 1" band clamp, im assuming your talking about the height I guess you would say, considering the pipes needing to be sealed up are 2.5" diameter..
