Thanks guys and i know that there is no gasket between the gears and the snout, i was meaning the gasket that goes under the s/c and i am planning on pulling the whole thing off and cleaning it and porting it before i put back on. i was asking if i had the right idea on everything i would need to take it off and put it back on and if there was any pattern i needed to follow to torque the bolts back down. i believe the bolts need 17 lbs but correct me if im wrong. will high temp red rtv work to seal the snout and the gears? oh and yes i plan on getting the green s/c coupler from zzp. one more thing, are there any ill effects porting the s/c would have on the engine if i dont have it tuned right away. Trying to eliminate all of my little problems like my ltft's and my vac leak before i get it tuned. My s/c does have more than 100 k on it but i didnt have any problems with any leaks until the mechanic i had install my new engine took my s/c off of my old engine and put it on the new one and now that it is leaking led me to believe he didnt replace the gasket under the s/c and am really hoping this could be the cause of my vac leak unless the snout and the gears separated a lil bit while he was removing it and doing the swap but the day i picked up my car he said all he had to do was unbolt the s/c and kept it all in one piece including the t/b and just dropped it on the new engine. i didnt think to ask at the time if he used a new gasket or not just kinda figured he did but after examining the job he did on everything else(like all of my cracked vacuum lines he threw back on) i thinking he just half assed everything
