So i got in an accident with my black 2000 gtp coupe:'( it crumpled a little bit and im keeping the car to fiix in the future when i get the funds because it has a very close sentimental meaning to me, anyway it wont start now, there doesnt appear to be anything stopping it from running its got spark and cranks good, but i dont think its getting fuel, the fuel range is blinking zero and after the accident the gas gauge went to full and is stuck there. Do these cars disable the fuel pump after an accident? is there a switch or a fuse it pops or did something just die on impact? any ideas? thanks

asking the internet if your fuel pump is turning on is probably the least effective method.

...Stick your ear in the gas tank fill, push the test port on the fuel rail and see if it sprays fuel... etc..

There is no fuel disable on impact on the vehicle.

Where was the impact. Based on that...we may have more info to go on.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Here's a good question- have you checked all your fueses??? Really easy to do. Check the underhood and inside the car ones as well. As Bill said based on impact area there may be more to it (crushed wire, broken, etc).

crap i forgot about that i just went out and listened and the fuel pump doesnt turn on, i checked the fuel rail too and it doesnt spray out of the little tester or anything, fuel pump fuse under hood is good too, now what could cause the fuel pump not to turn on?

Still haven't told us where the area of impact was on the car. That may help guide us to a solution.

Barring that, could be a crushed/disconnected wire, bad pump, bad relay, bad ECM, bad ground/wire grounding out, etc...

Guess what controls the fuel pump. Your pcm. Guess where that wiring is... front driver side.

Yep, and the PCM lives under the airbox. I'd remove the airbox and take a good look in that area. Worst case, grab a jy PCM w/ the same catch code on it and swap it in and see if it fires up.

So none of the wiring harness got touched by the impact, even further back from the PCM? Then I would suspect a fried PCM at this point if all fuses are good.

Just on the off chance, did you check the fuse for the OBD port? It should have one for it. I've had that happen on my car before. If fuse is good then sounds like you found the issue.
