send one to reptile or dave or someone who has done it before.

you can find a stock one with no sensors for like $30.

either that or port one yourself. its not all that bad, but be aware that you WILL break through the casing and you WILL need to fill it with quicksteel or something of that sort.

I can do one similar to the ZZP HVTB setup for $50...all I need is yours or one you plan on having ported and you're all set.

    Thanks for the plug, Bio!

just for kicks, i bought a spare for ~$30, and bought a box of sanding rolls and a few dremel bits like a tungsten carbide and went to town on the tb. i didnt touch the area near the plate for various reasons.
i also cut the top half of the tb shaft and cut the 2 bolts holding the plate and used red locktite to prevent the bolts from coming loose again(funny/scary story). took a few hours over the span of a few days but i leanred a few things from it.
    PICS-quite a few....

Running a separate MAF with a ported TB seems like a good idea, since the stock MAF needs the hump to read the airflow correctly. At least this is what I hear one of their engineers have stated.

Any time you mess with the bore around the MAF you need to adequately adjust for airflow. Opening it up slows the velocity of the air, so you need to raise the gram/sec table to account for this.

they are hard to find since no one makes them anymore.
