I was just driving down the road after getting a car wash and all of a sudden my 2000 gtps idle changed and it sounded like it was running on less pistons and the service engine light started blinking. My Acceleration is poor but i can still get it up to speed. Im thinking skipped timing or plugs or something idk please any input would be great this is my daily driver and i need to get to work tomarrow.

    Flashing light means misfire.
Have you had the service light scanned yet?

Well the scan would help tremendously.
Otherwise you can check to see if any wires are melted, check all wire connections and also check your coil packs for corrosion.

Hook it up to scanner and see what cylinders are causing the problem.

Then check wires and coils and maybe swap them around and see whats up.

Seems unlikely but you never know until
It's scanned and you check the codes. I wouldnt worry about it too much. Rest easy, check it in the am and go from
    There.

Right..let's skip all the easy things and go right for new engine. Since you're the one footing the bill...it sounds good.

Technically, it means "Catalyst damanging condition" Which..is usually caused by a misfire.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

You didn't feel it was relevant to share that information to begin with? Seems like the problem with this car exists between the seat and the steering wheel.

Fix the known issues and then see what you have left.

Well, since P0305 is a code for misfire on Cyl #5, start there. Check the wires for obvious damage. Since this happened after getting a car wash, is it possible that you got some water somewhere it shouldn't have? If the wire looks good then try swapping it with a good wire and see if the miss follows.
