    You replaced the flexplate? If you had the motor out you should have pulled the rod caps to check the bearings. A set of ARP rod bolts is about $100. The OEM TTY bolts can not be reused.

    To check the harmonic balancer just remove the accessory belt and see if there's any play. Sometimes you can just look at it while it's running. If it looks like it has any wobble then it's toast.
