Hey guys, this is my 2nd time changing the oil on my supercharger myself.

Using the trusty method of spray nozzle to bottle to get out the old and pouring in the new...

This time I pulled the nozzle out and was pretty sure there was a tip on the nozzle, and now there isn't :S

Recommend pulling supercharger off? if so do I only need the gasket for where the torx bolt?

If not, would it cause alot of damage or just melt up?

Feel like such an ididot just stuck here with no car looking for advice, thanks.

Just pack a bunch of rags around the snout and pull it. It'll be stinky and messy but you'll live. Just shower the area in brake clean when you're done to clean it up. That's the quick and dirty. If you want to pull the blower you can. You'll need fuel injector o rings and a supercharger gasket.

Or, you can just go get another spray bottle and suck the fluid out

Pulling the blower won't do anything. You need to pull the snout off. Even with the blower off, the snout is sealed.

Suck out all the fluid you can, pull the snout off and clean everything when you are done. There will a little oil that comes out.

To seal the snout to the rest of the supercharger, you need to use an anaerobic sealant. I personally use the Permatex stuff that the regular parts store has/can get:

I just use an antifreeze tester to suck out the old fluid. Works every time.

You have a few options. You could get a new nozzle or a turkey baster/small diameter tube. You could also pull the supercharger off so you don't have to make a mess in your engine bay. I would not advise opening it up in the engine bay, that'll make a mess and smell like ****. Once you have it off the car you can crack the snout off pretty easily. You will need a new SC gasket and most likely o-rings for the injectors.

I think he is saying a part of the sprayer fell into the SC snout! not that he is looking for a nozzel or baister to remove the oil.

if there is any doubt pull the snout off. and while at it you can clean it much better. its not worth the risk of causing damage to the SC

    Ah.

    Regardless, have permatex. haha.

Which torx bolt are you referring to?

I never had any on my snout.

Are you referring to getting the snout off of the rotor pack?

I'm pretty sure I was able to do mine by just removing the alternator. It's been a while though

So I couldn't find the Permatex Anaberoic Gasket maker at any stores I tried tonight.

I picked up Red Hi-Temp Sensor Safe Gasket Maker?

    http://www.permatex.com/products/Automotive/automotive_gasketing/gasket_makers/auto_Permatex_High-Temp_Red_RTV_Silicone_Gasket.htm

Will that do the trick for me still? I also grabbed a proper T40 torx ratchet for the hard to get at ones and got
a replacement bolt for one I stripped. Going with the 10.8 Hex bolt, good enough?

Thanks for all your help guys, much appreciated as always.

its the opposite of what you're supposed to use.

Grade 10 is more than adequate.

I think shimmy has loads of the stuff. Should ask him where he gets it.

Okay well when I'm at the local parts store (canadian tire) I only found gasket makers and most are graded like 230-360ish so they are all wrong? What do you mean by grade 10?
