Pulsars are definitely a gimmick plug (what units is this snake oil salesman talking about?), but I don't recall hearing about them causing issues - there was a thread a while back where one of our member tried them and saw a very slight increase in gas mileage, but results will obviously vary (so many factors - weather, tire inflation, etc). Basically, you've got about the best plugs money can buy already. Save the $80 and call it a day.
