of course i miss that post lol. but if you sprayed starting fluid in the TB and it didnt start, then it is something else. fuel pump could still be bad though.
Before we pushed it in the garage I tried to start it. It did almost start once. But if there is no fuel pressure and the pump won't run with direct jiuse to it then it's not getting fuel.
I just got home with the pump. I will pop that in and see what it does.
I didn't do a very good job with the starting fluid and I knew it. I pulled the intake hose off the TB and made an awkward angle spray into the screen. I really don't feel that I got fluid in the good enough to count that.
yea your right. I went out and sprayed some starter fluid in the better with with fule pump harness disconnected at the pump and it started.
So on to the pump!
We are running again! Put the new pump in and attached the electrical connectors - turned the key and Hmmmmm - We have prime. Turned the key the rest of the way and she fired right up!
Thank you all for your help and suggestions! This is an awesome forum made up of many knoweledgable folks who are ready willing and able to help.
Thanks again.
Awesome! Hope it stays running for you for a good while now
nice!!!! Glad we could help. This thread goes to show that sometimes we WAY overthink things, and tells us with this kind of situation we need to eliminate the three main things first (spark fuel and air) before going into sensors and all that crap.
ENJOY!!!!!!
