i have an 04 grand prix gtp which has a bad engine in it i am trying to figure out what can be swapped into it and work with no issues. i have access to a few series two engines but from what i read they will most likely fall apart with the with the supercharger installed .i guess what im asking is will it work with a series two engine or should i find another series three ? someone please give me some guidance thank you for your time.

Ehhhh what? Just go to the junkyard and pickup a Series 3 L32 shortblock.

any 96-07 supercharged series2 will work the same as a supercharged series3... most anyone could not tell the 2 apart.

You CAN use any 95-07 n/a motor if you are willing to put a few mods on it to make it safe to run. The blower will not 'destroy' a n/a bottom end, but it will put a beating on it if you are not careful.

    Gen 3 L32 shortblock.
These can get extremely expensive for no apparent reason, they are also significantly harder to find. also, its series3, not gen3.

Where do you get your info guy?

People run L67's to well over 200k without a sinlge problem. The motors use the exact same block from 97-08, just the internals got changed in the newer years.

Buy the same engine for your car and drop it in.
