Yes they fit perfectly, they gave you an AutoZone-style answer... where they supply items, but have no clue about what they're selling you, so to speak. I've maybe heard 1-2 instances in the history of ALL 3800 headers about not lining up correctly, etc.
The headers I'm running were from 2005, a test set when Donkey Punch Performance (a Monte guy in MN) was originally gonna sell them in the 3800 community for SSAC. He dropped the ball after only making about 10 deals during 2006 and not being too communicative with pre-sale folks, so SSAC started selling them on eBay and their own site last year.
So yes, they're the same & they bolt right up. You need to supply your own Torca AccuSeal clamps (two 2.25" for x-over, and one or two 3" depending on how you connect your cat-back)... I suggest buying them from a place like Verocious eBay store, where they're $7 each.

Here's Zoom's thread from when he bought a set to see if he could bash on them...

Mine is the actual set in the old eBay pics, on the blue blanket, I think.
I'm not going to defend SSAC, as they obviously made exact copies of SLP's (using slightly better stainless, but stopping short without coating). The consensus has been that their welds can be sloppy in the tricky spots, so that's the main concern I've always heard from buyers over the years. A visual inspection before install is about all it takes, as with any part you buy.
I can take pics tomorrow, if needed. I cleaned them up during some engine work last May, but after forgetting to clean them as summer rolled on, they're no longer show quality, but still in perfect running order.
