Ok, well... get those flipped over, double check all the springs etc etc just in case and get it back together.
We've all learned something and that's all I ask from any problem that we don't understand. Let's learn something.
In theory I didn't think that was possible. Now that it is...it does explain how the valvetrain can get messed up w/o hurting the pistons. Because if those were on right, what happened...shouldn't be possible.
I should have the new seals and pushrods today. What a journey this has been. I cannot thank you guys enough. You all have been such a huge help!! I'll keep you guys posted, and yes, I'll be sure to get a video for you guys.![]()
Glad you are taking the learning so well. It can be painful and you definately got a leasson from the pain. Good way to turn it around.
I didn't know that was possible. Did you have trouble getting them in?
Wow. Simple fix but an expensive one to learn from.
now can i say the anticipation is killing me without jinxing you? lol
Crosses fingers...
I dropped a stupid retainer somewhere behind the rear valve cover. Gawd. I was getting close, and then of coarse, another snag. Gotta find that garbage now.
If you where in the states I would mail ya a couple, I found them in my coat pocket from my first build lol.
Got it all back together. But my battery needs charging. It's dead as a door nail. I'll let that charge for a while.
One question. Does anyone know what the clearance should be between the valve spring retainer and the valve seal on LS springs? I'm maybe sitting around 0.030" right now.
