The retainer pushes up on the lock based on the spring pressure. How does that lock hold the retainer/spring upside down?

So that was the locks that were upside down and not the retainer right?
lol, im glad my brother was with me, thats all i got to say. allthough i probably would of stumbled onto this thread today like i did anyways and figured it out before i give it a whirl. I used the T handle tool from autozone with knob, somehow i managed. i used TDC with no rope. uyyyy
correct, just the locks were upside down, not the retainers. i left the retainer on the spring in the tool while transferring into the new head.
Just the locks were upside down. The groove in the lock still holds the spring.
and i will second that ^^. atleast with the 105# and ZZP retainer and locks i have
