I will say though, that the cam made me smile wider, than the IC ever did.
Why would a cam entail vehicle downtime? Once the cam is in and tuned you should be good to go. I daily drove a 5 liter mustang for years with a pretty hefty cam and it was fine.. What makes the 3800 different for daily driving with a cam? The reason I'm asking is because I drive my car a lot in the spring/summer. I have another vehicle, but I like to drive my GTP a lot and am planning for a cam in the future.

You don't honestly think I pulled the engine, cleaned everything, painted everything, and tossed it all together overnight, do you? Building a car correctly; especially when it is your own, requires patience, not rushing it together like a customer's junk.

Edit: My GP is my daily driver..

the fact of the matter is that a cam install is like an afternoon job if youre not doing anything, but a cam install. it can easily be done without major down time and the car can be driven without a tune. it will just run like crap without it.

I know quite a few people who've said this, one in particular who worked at ZZP...And a friend of mine who ZZP get theres parts from, they both agree that is common to have lower end issues later down the line once you start digging that deep.
