So my car has the code WFP (2nd design) fuel pump which just died. The replacement Delphi unit came today and it is part number FG0075 which is listed as a 97 GTP unit. Problem is it has a sticker on it- code WFL which is the 1st design. I noticed the aftermarket ones had 2 different part #s for these whereas Delphi just has one pump. Should I go ahead and use it? It looks to be identical to the other one, wiring and all....

I realize this is highly specific and a long shot but I'm hoping someone has some insight on this.

I don't think it will matter. I've used a different tank assembly in my car before.

Cool. Can I ask you for details? Like what pump you put in what year of car?

So for future reference I went ahead and used the WFL pump and it runs fine. It would appear that these are pretty much interchangeable despite what the parts stores have listed.
