    I'm slowly pieces the motor back together. I read somewhere that I should prime the oil pump with petroleum jelly. Is this a typical thing to do?

    If you take it apart, yes. Otherwise, leave the icm unhooked and crank the motor for a few seconds. Let it rest. Repeat that like 3-5 times. That should prime you too.

    ^^I do the latter...and it seems to work just fine...that way your not getting questioned by your buddy's why your buying it at WalMart LOL

    Alright cause I already cranked the cover down and started putting accessories on. Don't wanna have to break it all back down
